Your friends' standing now changes as it happens.

Friends

• A friend going online, away, busy, or offline appears as it happens. The pane used to keep whatever it was told at launch, so a restart was the only way to see a change.
• Away and busy are told apart. Battle.net does not take one standing back when it grants another, so a friend who went busy while away stayed away.
• A friend who leaves is shown as gone rather than staying at whatever they were last doing. Leaving is not announced the way arriving is, and Superiority was waiting for something that never comes.
• A friend is followed across the several presence records Battle.net keeps for one account, rather than freezing on whichever one was read first.

Tabs

• A tab name too long to fit scrolls while you hover it, and slides back when you leave.

Tabs can be dragged into the order you want, and a channel that will not open says why instead of leaving you guessing.

Tabs

• Drag a tab along the bar to reorder it. The order is kept, so the channels reopen the way you arranged them.
• Closing a tab draws it off the bar rather than making it disappear, and the rest close the gap.
• Tab names sit in the middle of the tab.

When a channel will not open

• The reason arrives as a card rather than a line in whichever transcript happened to be in front. It names the group, and says what went wrong: you need an invitation, the channel is full, you are already in it, or you are in as many channels as Battle.net allows.

Groups

• A group you have just been invited to appears in Join a channel straight away, rather than after the next launch.

Bug fixes

• A private group is no longer offered as one you can simply join. Privacy was being read from the wrong place, so every private group looked open — the join was always going to be refused.
• A group's type — Barcraft, Esports Teams, Schools, and the rest — is read correctly. It was reporting whether the group was private instead.
• Six channels at once, which is what Battle.net grants. Superiority allowed a seventh and let the service refuse it.

Pinned home channels are replaced by the channels you have open, public communities can be found by name, and the disconnects are fixed.

Channels

• Pinned and home channels are gone. The channels you have open are the channels you are in, and they open again next time you launch.
• Seven channels at once, which is as many as Battle.net will address. Joining an eighth says so rather than failing quietly.
• Closing a tab leaves the channel and drops it from what reopens.
• A channel that no longer exists is dropped instead of being reopened on every launch, and says so rather than hanging on Joining.
• A group tab restores under the group's name rather than its number.

Finding a channel

• Join a channel searches Battle.net's public communities as you type, alongside your own groups and its channel list.
• Your own groups are the suggestions when the box is empty, and are left out of the results when it is not — you are already in them.
• A community says whether it can be joined or needs an invitation, and carries the icon it was given.
• A community whose name matches a public channel no longer hides the channel; both are offered.

Reading

• A game invitation posted in chat shows the lobby's name instead of the markup it arrives as.
• Joining a group says the group's name rather than its number.

Bug fixes

• Superiority no longer drops the connection while you use it.
• Group and community names are no longer cut short.
• Searching for a channel no longer hangs the app.
• Picking something in the Join a channel list no longer scrolls it back to the top.

Whispers move into the Social pane. Clan and community channels can be joined, and invitations to them answered, from the app.

Whispers in the Social pane

• Clicking someone in the Social pane opens a conversation with them, instead of addressing a whisper in the chat box.
• The conversation shows who you are talking to and their status, with your messages and theirs on opposite sides.
• Whispers no longer appear in the channel transcript. They belong to the conversation, not to the room you happen to be standing in.
• Anyone you have whispered is collected in a Whispers group above your friends, showing the last thing said and a count of what you have not read.
• Images and GIFs linked in a whisper play in the conversation.

Joining channels

• A Join a channel dialog lists your clan and community channels alongside Battle.net's own, and you can search it or type a name outright.

Clan and community invitations

• An invitation arrives as a card naming the group that invited you, with accept and decline on it.

Everywhere else

• The connection dialog says what it is waiting for in plain terms, and shows one progress bar instead of a checklist of internal phases.
• Dialogs open with the same strike and flicker they close with, and the disconnect warning burns orange rather than blue.
• The friends list, the channel roster, and the Social pane share one type scale, and text sits where it belongs in every input.
• Slash commands are gone: the Join dialog and the Social pane replace /join, /leave, and /w, and /version, /clear, and /help are retired.

Your friends list is alive, and you can talk to people privately.

Friends list presence

• The Social pane now shows your Battle.net friends with live status: available, away, busy, in game, or offline.
• Friends are grouped into online and offline, each sorted by name, with a running count of who is around.
• Every friend carries their portrait, so the list reads at a glance.
• The list stays current while it is open — friends move between the online and offline groups as they come and go, with no need to reopen the pane.

Whispering

• Send a private message with /w <player> <message>. The command palette offers the command as soon as you type a slash.
• Click any friend in the Social pane to open the composer with the whisper already addressed and the cursor in place.
• Private messages are set apart from channel chat in your transcript, so a whisper never reads as something you said to the room.
• When a whisper cannot be delivered, Superiority tells you rather than dropping it silently.

Connection and window

• Superiority no longer shows an empty chat window while it is away from Battle.net. The tabs, chat, roster, and composer fade in once the connection dialog has finished leaving the screen.
• Cancelling a connection, a failed connection, and signing out now keep the dialog on screen with a Reconnect action, instead of leaving a window with nothing to act on.
• The Social pane opens and closes with the same scan-and-glow transition as every other dialog.

This release makes updates and modal transitions feel like one coherent part of the application.

Updates before connection

• Superiority now checks for updates before starting the automatic Battle.net connection.
• An available update is presented before authentication begins.
• If the installed version is current—or the update service cannot be reached—the connection continues automatically.

Consistent modal transitions

• Every in-app modal now has a coordinated opening and dismissal animation.
• Friends, connection, error, and software-update dialogs use the same scan-and-glow transition language as Settings.
• Modal content is reset after its closing animation completes, preventing abrupt disappearances.

Unified headers

• Blue modal headers now share the same title renderer, typography, and glow treatment.
• Warning dialogs preserve their distinct orange error presentation.
